While waiting for Commodore 64 Ultimate to arrive in November, today received this letter from :commodore: team :ablobcathappypaws:

From the Desk of Leonard Tramiel:

Commodore community,
I owe you a debt of gratitude. 0ver the years, while pieces of the Commodore brand were licensed, bought, and sold, you kept it alive.
My father famously said "computers for the masses, not the classes." I wish my father could have seen how Commodore lives on through you.
I always hoped that the brand would become whole again. I just really never thought it would happen. And I can't think of anything more appropriate, than someone from the community bringing Commodore back to life.
Many of the original team are back as advisors, including myself. All the trademarks are once again under one roof.
And the Commodore 64 Ultimate follows suit...
This is no replica. This is no emulation. This is Commodore.
None of this would be possible without vour continued care, your commitment, and your creative spirit. I see my chief responsibility to the community is to answer one question: "What would Jack Tramiel do?"
It's an honor to do my best to answer that question, and to carry my father's legacy into the future.
Together, Commodore lives.

Koniec torów i buraki

Pomagałem przyjacielowi w przeprowadzce. I w podzięce dostałem takie oto zabytki.

Czyli już oficjalnie wróciłem do świata posiadaczy 8-bitowców. Mogę odpokutować grzechy młodości, kiedy to pomalowałem swoje C64 sprayem samochodowym na złoto i po kilku miesiącach wyrzuciłem na śmietnik. Teraz czeka mnie dużo pracy, żeby przywrócić je do stanu używalności - szczególnie magnetofony nie wyglądają dobrze. Ale w końcu na coś się przydadzą godziny oglądania YT... :)

I was helping my friend in moving his house the other day and look what I got in return... It seems I'm oficially back to the world of 8-bit owners. Now I can repent for the sins of my youth, when I spraypainted gold my C64 and threw it into wastebin after a few months. Lots of work await me to bring these 2 guys to working condition (the tape players look particularly bad), but hey, I haven't spent all these hours warching restoration vids on YT for nothing...:) @janbeta #commodore #c64 #atari #8bit #retrocomp
