For a grassroots free network on open (ISM) frequencies, coordination and documentation is a bit more challenging - we are only just starting to map the new generation of gateways.
@dasyaITU is hosting and testing a number of gateways, reaching sweden, germany and a lot of the (baltic) sea.
Get in touch if you are interested or like to contribute.
Do you know The Things Network?
The idea is to build a free non-commercial low power network for #IoT,
for communities, people and businesses to use.
Currently, it is made up out of approximately 20,000 volunteer gateways -
with the highest density around the project's origin, the Netherlands.
The low energy aspect is interesting - we dont need power-hungry #5G to collect environmental data.
