Rihards Olups<p>KDE is the best desktop solution usability-wise, by far. This is true with the basic functionality, this is true with the advanced features.</p><p>Does it have bugs and shortcomings? Sure, but it's so much better than, let's say, Windows or Mac, it's just crazy.</p><p>A simple example I used just now - block select in Konsole. It was added many years ago, and I've been using it every now and then since that dat.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/KDE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>KDE</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Konsole" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Konsole</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/UX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UX</span></a></p>

It's a fact <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/KDE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>KDE</span></a> gets buggie. They should focus on usability instead of going the Microsoft way and adding stuff just in case someone wants to use them.</p>
Natasha Nox 🇺🇦🇵🇸<p>*sigh* By now I got two zombie-entries in my <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/KDE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>KDE</span></a> start menu that I can't get rid off or edit. Also my Icon-Only Task Manager bar is utterly incapable of memorizing where I put which starter, it keeps shuffling them around between reboots and even when switching activities (and then switching back to the same profile).</p><p>Since even widget placement and *existence* is rather flaky it seems to me that KDE is screwing up some part of caching or its db where it saves desktop infos. This sucks. <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a></p>
